From his beginnings as instrumentalist, Pablo Basez was developing the capacity and the interest for the composition and the arrangements. The maturity of the syntax and the fluency in the environment of authorization of a completed repertoire, leaves newly to the light after many years of search, where personal and musical experiences converge.

The previous steps, where, groupings like Castor Orquesta Quintet - www.castororquesta.com.ar  (also founder, and composer), mark a before and a later regarding the land of the arrangements, where the electric thing prevailed, with the coalition of Jazz-rock, besides the influences of folklore and Rio de la Plata marked in the general limit of the combo.
For the same one passed musicians like Victor Malagrino, Miguel Tarzia, Fabián Yudchak, Horacio Freire, Santiago Varela, Roberto Gómez, among other musicians of the local environment.
 The search of a personal road, makes possible the meeting with colleagues of the environment of the Jazz, to open up in route to the formation of the current Quintet.

The Pablo Basez Quintet begins to play in the year 2005 with musicians that were from the beginnings like Diego Fagalde in guitar ( see Curriculum ), Pedro Cervera in Battery, Alan Zimmerman in Piano, Cosme Tarantino in Saxophone Tenor, to redefine its formation at the present time with the changes in the rhythmic section. The battery is commanded by Fabio Barraza ( see Curriculum ), the Piano by Holman
Alvarez ( see Curriculum ), and in the melodies the tall saxophonist Misael Parola ( see Curriculum ), being at the present time the musicians of the quintet.

The idea of capturing the first disk was not made wait, and with the collaboration of Nicola Bernardelli (Italy) in trumpet, the Basque Hegoburu (El Pie) and Toto Strapporava (Tecson, El Pie) as technicians it ends up capturing the first pre - production of the disk in the San Rafael Auditory, live in 2006. This material was being presented in the different scenarios of Capital Federal and Gran Buenos Aires, having great acceptance on the part of the public that was intensified in the last performances: Notorious (Mora), Thelonious (Ezequiel and Lucas), Underground Festivals of Jazz (Gustavo), Jazz Festival of La Plata (Liliana and Martin), Carlos Gardel Theater or Bares Notables of Capital Federal (Marcelo), they were among other, witness of this live growth of the band.

The vicinity of Festivals of international fame, like it is the Festival of Jazz of La Patagonia in El Bolsón, Rio Negro and their agent Mr. Alejandro Aranda, make possible the continuity of this shows course and contractual commitments in the 2007.

The arrival of the Bares Notables Prize, where the quintet was recognized among a select jury (among them Bernardo Baraj) in a live performance in the Golden Living room of the Buenos Aires Legislature, like one of the best inside the gender. This impelled their members, and in this same year 2007, they get ready for what will be the definitive recording of their first CD.
